This was a really pivotal and iconic scene, and I knew It needed to be well executed. I wasn’t completely happy with the pose of Orpheus from the original version, so I went back and re-illustrated him in a more exaggerated operatic or ballet type of pose, which I think is appropriate for the drama of the scene. Sometimes other art forms, like dancers poses or theatre set design, can be brilliant sources of inspiration.
